Inspiration can come from anywhere

Every Maison Needlepoint kit begins with an idea — a spark of inspiration that can come from anywhere: the colors of a changing season, the textures in nature, a striking interior, a moment in fashion history, or something playful from popular culture. I capture these fleeting ideas in sketches and notes, letting them evolve until a vision takes shape.

The Design process

From there, the concept starts to take form digitally. I explore color palettes, compare threads, and translate the idea into a design that works beautifully for needlepoint. Then comes the part I love most: making a sample. I hand-paint the design onto canvas and stitch it myself, feeling the rhythm of each thread and letting the piece reveal itself as it grows. It’s a process of discovery — sometimes the design surprises me, sometimes it teaches me something new.

Preparing for Production

Once I know a design is ready, I create a production sheet and send it to my trusted production partner, while my graphic designer brings the packaging to life. Together, we ensure that every element — from the printed canvas to the color-matched threads — reflects the care and quality that Maison Needlepoint is known for. I often visit my suppliers and production partner, walking through the process with my own eyes, because seeing the hands that bring these kits to life reminds me how special this craft is.

Finally, the kit is ready: printed, packaged, and waiting to be stitched. Each kit carries the story of its creation, designed and produced entirely in Europe, blending craftsmanship, inspiration, and a touch of magic. And then, it’s ready for you — to pick up a needle, follow the threads, and make it your own.
